1978: Moravia d. Newfield 13-10

1977: Dryden d. Union Springs 7-5

1976: Union Springs d. Trumansburg 5-3

(Note: This article features a great shot of T-Burg pitcher Pam Peabody pitching right-handed while her left wrist is broken and in a cast. She couldn't wear a glove. Safe to say that wouldn't be allowed today!)

1975: Union Springs d. Spencer-Van Etten 7-4

1974: Union Springs d. Tioga (no score available)

  • Note: As far as I can tell, the IAC started playing a championship game in 1974.  While the league existed before then, I found no evidence of a champion being crowned.

  • It appears that the league awarded an Overall League Championship in the years 1974-1979, 2000-2009, and then again in 2019.  The league split between Large School and Small School Championships in the years 1980-1999, 2010-2018, and 2021 to today.

  • If anyone has more information to add, please email me at section4softball@gmail.com.
